Skull & Bones has been a concern for Ubisoft for years, but development has now moved into quieter waters. We deduce this from the plans that Ubisoft has shown The game should be released between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
Following up on this news, Ubisoft has also announced that Skull & Bones is focusing on multiplayer. This fits in with Ubisoft’s strategy to focus on competitive multiplayer and cooperative games in a large open world surrounded by an engaging imagination.
Now Skull & Bones has started as a multiplayer title and based on initial feedback, Ubisoft has decided to add a single player item to it as well. However, this was in 2017, but times have changed. From this we can conclude that Ubisoft has returned more to the original idea.
Finally, just to add a bit more confidence, Ubisoft said they are very pleased with the technical direction of the game and its development so far. In short, the ship is on its way to reach its intended port after some serious storms.
“That’s of course a longer development time in that game, but we’re very pleased with the technical direction and the progress the game has made so far.”
