The United States has been exempting hundreds of Chinese products from increased import duties, but the increased taxes will again apply to several hundred product categories.
Of the 549 items exempted from additional import duties, 352 products will be re-exempt after the deadline, from October 12, 2021 until the end of this year.
Companies can specify whether a particular product can be purchased in the United States or in countries other than China, whether there are specific problems with the delivery of the product, and whether the U.S. company will be severely damaged by the tax.
Examples of rebate products for pumps, compressors, filters, some motors, switches and more.
The tariffs were imposed between August 2018 and January 2020 by an administration under President Donald Trump due to dissatisfaction with China’s technology transfer, intellectual property and innovation.
