Game developer Bluepoint Studios has been acquired by Sony. The developer is known for remaking Demon’s Souls for PS5 and Shadow of the Colossus and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for PS4. The developer will become part of PlayStation Studios.

All of our employees have this drive to develop an original game and with Sony’s support we can show what we deserve. After all, we’re not developers trained only to remake and revamp the game.”
There have been rumors of a Sony acquisition of Bluepoint Studios before. when sony announced in June that it was acquiring Finnish developer Housemarque, the company’s Japanese division mistakenly posted an image on Twitter referring to Bluepoint Studios, rather than the Finnish studio.
This is Sony’s fourth acquisition this year.
