KRC Genk’s first summer transfer was made on Sunday. Jarne Steuckers came from STVV, a very delicate transition, especially after the arrival of Thorsten Fink.
KRC Genk and Wouter Vrancken parted ways during qualifying. They then started looking for a new coach in Limburg, which they eventually found in Limburg.
Thorsten Fink came from STVV and it quickly became clear that he probably wouldn’t be the only one. Jarni Stockers decided to follow his coach.
Such a transfer is of course very sensitive. STVV has already provided an official explanation, but went further on social media. The club posted its ‘voting test’ on X.
This clearly points towards Genk. To the question “What is your sporting vision?”, you can answer “I will imitate the playing style of the neighbors and remove the coach from there.” “How would you describe yourself as a fan?”, “I throw fireworks on the field when my team is having a hard time” is also an answer.
When Jarne Steuckers was introduced via social media, the club wrote in its letter: “Jarne Steuckers had no need for a test vote and firmly chose KRC Genk,” responding immediately.
