Illumination and Nintendo, two world-famous names in the entertainment industry, have joined forces for the first time for THE SUPER MARIO BROS. Movie, a new feature film about one of pop culture’s most famous plumbers. Based on Nintendo’s Mario game universe, the movie transports audiences to a unique, colorful, and fascinating world of a movie full of action and humor. While trying to fix an underground water pipe in Brooklyn, Plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt; Jurassic World movies, LEGO movie franchise) and his brother Luigi (Charlie Day; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) enter a magical new home through a mysterious pipe. Really world. But there they are separated from each other and then Mario sets out on a great adventure to find Luigi. With the help of Toad (Keegan-Michael Key; The Lion King), a native of the Mushroom Kingdom, and after training from the Mushroom Kingdom’s determined leader Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy; The Queen’s Gambit), Mario discovers his own powers.
Super Mario Bros. The MOVIE will be shown in cinemas from April 5 in 3D, IMAX, Dolby Vision and 4D.
