It remains to be seen for all Belgian first-division players what penalty will be imposed on their heads due to the confessions of regretful player Dejan Velikovic in the Propere Handen case. Or at least for 12 clubs.
Twelve clubs, including Anderlecht, Kopp Brugge, KRC Genk and Standard, circulated millions of euros in dirty money and thus committed fraud in court.
But eight clubs would not have cooperated in the deception and were thus acquitted. In particular Eupen, Antwerp, Union, Sporting Charleroi, Seraing, Zulte-Waregem, Cercle Brugge as well as Beerschot.
Even if it wasn’t because they weren’t related to Velkovic’s profile, there was nothing more hanging over their heads. Because there is, among other things, the Moji Bayat division, which Wallon clubs in particular are suspected of cheating. Just wait and see.
