Team UAE is the biggest winner of the Tour’s prize pool, Soudal-Quick Step at 3

UAE Team Emirates Tour winner Tadej Pogacar has the most wins in this edition of the Tour de France. Soudal-Quick Step has also done well, thanks to Remco Evenepoel. Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe closes the list and will have to settle for almost nothing.

Tour organizer ASO has set aside a prize pool of around €2.3 million this year. Most of that goes to the UAE team, which can expect more than €800,000 in its bank account.

Tadej Pogacar’s overall win alone was worth €500,000. The Slovenian also earned an additional €66,000 with his 6 stage wins, or €11,000 per victory.

For number 2 in the final settlement for Jonas Vingegaard, there is a check for €200,000, and Remco Evenepoel for third place on Soudal-Quick Step gets another €100,000.

Evenepoel also earned an additional €11,000 with his stage victory in the time trial and took home €20,000 with his white jersey as the best young rider of the Tour.

The cash register is also ringing at Intermarché-Wanty, with a prize fund of over €111,000. Benyam Germay was of course the big winner there, with 3 stage wins (€33,000) and an overall victory in the points classification worth another €25,000.

It has been a sad round for Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe. With a paltry €16,710, the team is at the bottom of the list, although the German team can of course use the retirement of captain Primoz Roglic as an excuse.
