Premier LeaguePolice have arrested a player from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday morning on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman. He has since been released on bail.
The twenty people, whose identities have not been revealed, were arrested along with the 40 after they were kicked out of a nightclub.
A spokesman for the Sussex Police Department confirmed the facts. Two men have been arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted at a Brighton location on Wednesday morning. Forty-year-olds, both from Brighton, are currently in custody.”
The player was released on bail until November 3.
Brighton said through a spokesperson that it was “aware that one of its players is assisting the police in an investigation into a possible crime”. “This matter is currently the subject of legal procedures and therefore the club will not provide any further explanation at this time.”
According to the police, the victim is receiving specialized assistance.
Brighton is Leandro Trossard’s Red Devils Club. He is currently in Italy to participate in the fourth final of the Nations League.
