From now on, the app, launched by Bridgeneers in Leuven, will guide you through the technological world of Technopolis. But the app can also help you plan your day or find a parking space.
A mumble guide that freezes time at each station with a lengthy explanation? That’s out of fashion these days. In Technopolis, it’s the residents themselves who guide you into their wonderful world of science. From now on, the so-called WOWzas, 3D digital mascots Glitch, Fozzy, Zigg and their partners, will guide you through the science center via the app.
With the app in your hands, you’ll discover not only how the setup works, but also the science behind it. You’ll instantly gain insight into many applications and examples from everyday life. And research is rewarded. That went unnoticed. A badge system motivates you to visit more areas and consume more content. And there’s more than enough. In fun clips, videos, and blog posts, you’ll get answers to questions like “How does a ping pong ball jump higher?” or “Why does a pigeon nod?”
Collaboration with Bridgegeners
For the launch of the new Technopolis app, the full-service independent agency Bridgeneers in Leuven worked on the entire package: from strategy to architecture and design. This in partnership with Technopolis and Coders.
The app also offers several options for school groups. This way, each student can start using their own account linked to the class group. The teacher can monitor the test answers and evaluate the result on an individual level.
In addition to the educational component, you will also find all the practical information in the app. Based on the start time of the demonstrations and shows, you can create your own daily schedule, follow your route on the floor plan and find information about opening hours, route, accessibility and special facilities.
