televisionAfter two successful films, the foul-mouthed bear Ted will return in January 2024. In the new series, comedian Seth MacFarlane (50) can once again be heard as Ted. The series can be watched on streaming service Peacock starting January 11.
The seven-part series takes place in 1993, eight years after Ted came back to life. The teddy bear is no longer popular. He lives with his 16-year-old best friend, an insecure teenager named John Bennett (Burkholder), and his family. Ted supports the family in times of need, but he is not always the best influence on the teenager.
Not only does Seth MacFarlane voice the bear, he also directs and writes the script. Giorgia Whigham (“13 Reasons Why”), Max Burkholder (“Parenthood”) and Scott Grimes (“The Orville”) have also been cast in the series.
Together, the hit films “Ted” and “Ted” 2 grossed more than $750 million (€689.17 million).
