Tens of thousands of Dutch people are protesting against the coronavirus restrictions in the juvenile sector abroad

Tens of thousands demonstrated in different cities in the Netherlands against the Corona measures, which hit the juvenile sector hard. According to the man who organized the “Unmute Us” movement, 70,000 demonstrators took part. Demonstrators took to the streets in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, Eindhoven and Nijmegen. They demanded that the events be allowed to repeat at full capacity from 1 September.

Amsterdam was so crowded that the city called on people not to come to protest anymore. The organization itself stated during the day that it was very busy in Utrecht and Rotterdam.

ID&T Festival organizers are “extremely happy” with the large number of people who attended the demonstrations. We hope that the government has seen its decision and will consider it so far on Monday. “The Netherlands has shown that enough is enough, and it can no longer be that way,” says CEO Rozan Janmat.

Randomness is not acceptable.

According to “Unmute Us” organizer Jasper Jossen, turnout was much higher than expected. “Arbitrary decision-making is unacceptable and angers us. There are no good arguments as to why events cannot happen now. We have very good studies proving that and nothing in between.”
