Famous PeopleApparently Johnny Depp, 59, was in a generous mood last week. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor has donated a lot of money to a total of four different charities. One of the charities is also related to his ex-wife Amber Heard (36).
The American actor has donated a nice sum to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charitable Association, the Footprint Alliance and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. So these are charities from all over the world that are committed to children and young people. In total, Johnny Depp donated about 800 thousand dollars (786 thousand euros). Funds were raised through the sale of some NFTs (Non-Foldable Tokens).
Significant impact
In the past, Amber Heard, the actor’s ex-wife, has also been linked to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. During the much-discussed lawsuit between the spouses, it became known that the “Aquaman” actress did not donate money to the charity. Heard had promised that she would donate money from her divorce from Johnny Depp, about $7 million, to Children’s Hospital. During the trial, the actress tried to justify the facts. According to the actress, her legal costs became too high, according to which she did not have enough money to donate.
On Wednesday, Johnny Depp’s Never Fear Truth announced that it had donated a good amount to the charities involved. “We are very grateful to this community for this donation and look forward to building on this success and making an even greater impact in the future.” Not long after, Perth Children’s Hospital also thanked the organization. They wrote: “Thank you very much for your generosity. This money will have a huge impact.”
