Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton celebrated Thanksgiving together for the seventh time in a row after they first met through a text message that went wrong. Netflix is even working on a movie about their story.
The story is eagerly shared on social media every year and they were there again this year. Wanda Dench, 65, and Jamal Hinton, 24, celebrated Thanksgiving together on Thursday. This is the seventh time in a row. The love story between them started in 2016. Dench wanted to invite her grandson to celebrate the day together, but she sent the invitation to the wrong phone number. It was 17-year-old Hinton who responded to the letter. After the confusion cleared, Hinton asked if he might join the banquet after all. “Sure you can. That’s what grandmothers do… feed everyone,” Dench replied.
Meanwhile it has become a real tradition. For the seventh year in a row, they sat together at the table to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday.
The story has captivated many and streaming service Netflix is currently planning a movie about the amazing Dench and Hinton impersonations. “We’re excited to share our story with the world. We hope it inspires more people to make connections they wouldn’t normally.” “We have been blessed with a true friendship that was born from God through a wrong text message.”
