The December update is available on the Samsung Galaxy S20 and S21

The December update is now ready to install on almost all Galaxy S20 models. It’s a real security update, without functional innovations. Plus: You can now also install it on the Galaxy S21 series.

The next Samsung phone (series) to receive the December security update is the Galaxy S20. It’s been almost four years since the first models appeared on the market, but Samsung still updates them every month with the latest security patch.

The update is now live with the firmware version ending in WKD on the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, and WK8 on various S20 FE models. On the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, you get the firmware version that ends in WKB.

The patch includes improvements to ‘Security of your device‘. The December patch consists of about 50 improvements to the Android operating system itself, and 16 fixes for Samsung’s One UI apps.
