The fastest growing company in Limburg has been declared bankrupt

A year ago they were still on stage as the Limburg ambassador for Trends Gazellen, and today Coastair Chartering has gone bankrupt. The air cargo service provider has accumulated too much debt in the process of growth so that it can continue to develop.

Until recently, Coastair Chartering was headquartered in Tongeren. It concerns a warehouse, where activities took place mainly at Liège Airport (Berset). Coastair Chartering has been one of the leading service providers in the air cargo industry, providing a range of services to air freight agencies, shippers and airlines.

The company grew very quickly. Last year she was named Limburg Ambassador for Trends Gazellen (medium-sized companies). A new headquarters has been opened in the logistics business park in Liège, and additional offices have been opened in Paris and London. So we have accumulated a lot of debt with different partners in Liège, but also in Tongeren, so that we can grow even more. An external partner was also sought for this purpose. But it was not found. After trying to rescue the company through the World Customs Organization, the court in Liège declared Coastair Chartering bankrupt a few weeks ago. An unfortunate story, with many creditors unfortunately. The coordinator will now try to handle the file as accurately as possible.
