ShowbizThe classic musical “Grease” is coming to Flanders in 2024, but it is still looking for a main cast with the necessary singing and dancing talent. Interested parties can register from now on to sign up For tests. “Are you the one they want?”
“Grease” is one of the longest-running musicals ever on Broadway and became a true classic thanks to the 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Now Albert Verlinde, in collaboration with Senf Theaterpartners, Jaco Kaasschieter and House of Entertainment, brings this musical love story to Flanders, namely to the Stadsschouwburg in Antwerp, the Ghent Capitol and the Trixo Theater in Hasselt. The premiere is scheduled to take place on September 12, 2024, but before that happens, a main Flemish cast still needs to be found.
Tests will begin in 2024 and the search for Danny, Sandy, Rizzo, Miss Lynch, Kenickie and others will continue. “I’m really looking forward to the shows in Flanders and I’m already looking forward to searching for Flemish talent. ‘Grease’ is always a golden opportunity for the younger generation to present their talent to the audience,” says producer Albert Verlinde.
“Grease” from 12 September 2024 in Antwerp, Ghent and Hasselt. You will find tickets and information here.
