It has been clear for some time now that Apple is working on a fourth-generation iPhone SE. The current generation was launched in 2022 and now has an old design. In the iPhone SE 2022, we still see the home button, 12MP camera, and Lightning port. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to receive a major update with Apple’s smarter and more refined design. The new generation is said to resemble the iPhone 14.

Currently, only iPhones with the A17 Pro chip or later work with Apple Intelligence, so the iPhone SE 4 is expected to have a powerful processor.

This is how cheap the iPhone SE will be

It’s not yet known exactly what chip that will be, but according to Apple Intelligence, the iPhone SE 4 will need at least the A17 Pro chip or better. That means the cheapest iPhone will get a major update in 2025, which means good news for anyone who doesn’t want to pay the premium price for a new phone. In the US, the starting price for the upcoming iPhone SE is estimated to be $469 or $499.

That’s $40 to $70 more expensive than the iPhone SE 3, which starts at $429. In the Netherlands, Apple charges €529 for the iPhone SE 3, so the iPhone SE 4 will likely cost €569 or €599 here. That’s a big difference from the regular iPhone, which you’d pay at least €795.75 for. This way, users get access to the latest features without paying a fortune for a new iPhone.
