The Kremlin confirms that Tucker Carlson interviewed President Putin and immediately dropped him Ukraine-Russia war

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Tucker Carlson had an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the official Russian news agency TASS. Carlson is a former host of the American conservative television network Fox News and is known for his pro-Russian views and conspiracy theories.

According to Peskov, who is also Putin's press secretary, the interview has already ended. Last night, Carlson said in a statement on Channel X that the interview had not yet taken place. Peskov further confirmed that Carlson met with President Putin personally for the interview. He did not want to reveal any other details.

When asked why Putin decided to interview Carlson, Peskov replied that his approach differed from that of other Western media. According to the Kremlin spokesman, Carlson “is neither pro-Russian nor pro-Ukraine, but pro-America.”

Peskov also criticized Carlson for saying that no Western journalist had bothered to interview Putin since the invasion of Ukraine two years ago. Peskov said this is not true. According to him, the Kremlin has already received numerous requests for an interview with Putin, but they came from Western media with a “one-sided position” and this would not make any sense at all.

“Mr. Carlson is not right. In fact, he cannot know it. We receive numerous requests for interviews with the President. As far as Western countries are concerned, they mainly come from large media networks: traditional TV channels and major newspapers that do not even try to “It appears neutral in its reporting. Of course, we do not want to communicate with this type of media.”

Requests

Other journalists now confirm that they have submitted several requests to interview Putin, but to no avail. “Does Tucker really think that we journalists haven't been trying to interview President Putin every day since his massive invasion of Ukraine? It's ridiculous. We keep asking for an interview, as we have for years,” CNN's Christiane Amanpour responded to X.

Peskov was unable or unwilling to answer the question of when the interview would be published. He added: “After this is completed, he will be released.” “I don't want to get ahead of myself. After all, this is (Carlsons, ed.) interview.”

According to the American business newspaper “The Wall Street Journal”, this could be tomorrow (February 8). The interview will be available on Carlson's website “Tucker Carlson Network” and on his page on X.
