In the first year of the Corona epidemic, relatively more Dutch Moroccans died from the consequences of Covid-19 than people of Dutch background. This is evident from research conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
CBS researchers believe that in addition to classic factors such as smoking and unhealthy eating, other social and economic factors have been more deadly during the Corona pandemic. Consider factors such as smaller housing or less flexible working conditions, which make it difficult to maintain a distance or work from home.
