The program is somewhat similar to a mixture of “Big Brother” and “Utopia”. The 40 participants will remain in an unknown location, where only basic facilities are available. To pay for maintenance and other necessities, they can perform tasks to fill the “pot of the house.” Is the pot empty and things still have to be paid for? Then a prize fund of 1 million euros can be opened. This means that the eventual winner will go home with less than a million.
The number of participants decreases through elimination rounds. By the way, no new participants are added, and no one is replaced. The last surviving participant will be crowned the winner and go home with the final prize pool.
The participants are not yet known. In fact, it is still possible to register for the program on the Talpa website. The application form asks, among other things, what personal goals you want to achieve through the program and whether you are available for a year starting at the end of August.
A Year of Your Life can be watched on SBS6 every business day starting Monday, September 5th at 6.30pm.
