MorbeckSome time ago, the Municipal Council of Morebeck launched the sharing platform BroadMe. In the meantime, the third project has been launched: the renovation of the outer area of the Kruisstraat community centre.
“We are very committed to sharing, for example with our sharing evenings for important projects, but also for a few months with our sharing platform ‘Broed mee’,” says Alderman of Participation Sarah Poppe (Open Vld). For each project, a number of instructions in advance on which to submit comments.Previously, the reconstruction of Anton van Wilderode’s garden and park in Crevestraat was presented to residents via this platform.
“The community center is used extensively for all kinds of activities by Moerbeek associations and private parties,” says alderman and neighbor Peter de Boeck (Open Vld). “It would therefore be an added value if the outdoor space was redeveloped into a pleasant, green and attractive garden.”
The municipal council also wants the outdoor space to be a place where local residents can relax and catch up with each other in an accessible way on days when the community center is not rented. “The activism experience is critical for us in (re)designing public spaces,” says local councilor for public works Koen Mertens (Open Vld). “We are now particularly curious about residents’ thoughts on the use of covered outdoor space.”
At https://www.moerbeke.be/buitenruimte-buurthuis you will find the preliminary design and explain the principles that have already been established and what the residents are determined by. You can submit design feedback in the same way until December 18th.
