Watch the Motorola Edge 40 render
Motorola announced the Edge 40 Pro this week, but it appears that the manufacturer is also working on a “regular” Edge 40. This phone can be seen when viewing this smartphone from the inside Roland Quandt Share on Twitter. Particularly striking are the flashy colors with the names: Viva Magenta, Nebula Green, Lunar Blue, and Eclipse Black.
The photos above show different colors, but something else stands out. Motorola Edge 40 is said to have a faux leather back, just like last year’s Edge 30 Fusion. The blue variant appears to have a ‘normal’ rear glass.
We also see that the Edge 40 has a large screen with narrow bezels and a small hole for the camera. There are several cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization. The Moto phone is also rumored to have a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera.
More on Motorola Edge 40
The first specifications of the Motorola Edge 40 appeared earlier. For example, the device will be equipped with a 6.55-inch full screen, with an OLED panel and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood is likely to be a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage.
The Edge 40 is also expected to feature a relatively small 4,400mAh battery, which can charge at 68W. In comparison, the Edge 40 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast charging. As a result, the battery goes from 0 to 100 percent in just 23 minutes. We don’t know if the Edge 40 can also charge wirelessly.
Moreover, it is not known when Motorola will introduce Edge 40. We are also still in the dark about the pricing. The suggested retail price for the Edge 40 Pro, which will be in Dutch stores from next week, is €899. The regular Edge 40 is supposed to be cheaper.
