On Saturday, the Belgian royal family celebrated: Count Charles-Henri Duquem d’Queze, the younger brother of Queen Mathilde, married Caroline Philippe. Princesses Elizabeth, Eleanor and Prince Emmanuel also attended, dressed elegantly.
Count Charles-Henri Duquem Decouz and Caroline Philippe, 37, were married at Pont Lavec in northern France. The ceremony was attended by the family of the Belgian royal couple, only Prince Gabriel was missing. The 18-year-old son of Philip and Mathilde is in the eastern cantons, where he is in the camp of the Royal Military School.
Count Charles Henry is Queen Mathilde’s brother, and is the youngest of five children. Mathilde is 49 years old and therefore the older sister of Charles Henry. The photos show that the royal family is cheerful. The youngest prince, 16-year-old Emmanuel, was dressed in an elegant blue suit. Crown Princess Elizabeth, 20, and Princess Eleanor, 13, wore pink dresses in similar shades. Mathilde was spotted in a bright green dress from her favorite fashion house, Natan.
The real star of the day was, of course, the bride: Charles Henry’s new wife Caroline Phillippe graced her wedding dress with a long veil. The children of Helen and Elizabeth, two other sisters of the Count, were bridesmaids.
On Saturday 10 September the party will take place again: Then Princess Maria Laura (33), eldest daughter of Princess Astrid and niece of King Philip, gave her yes to William Isvie.
