These are all new features for your Mac

Last night, Apple released a slew of software updates, including macOS Ventura 13.1. But what’s new for you mac? And how do you actually download the update? We have included everything you need to know.

macOS Ventura 13.1 released! The latest software for your Mac is the first major update since the launch of Ventura. And it’s packed with new features, as well as some fixes for known issues.

macOS Ventura 13.1 is full of new features culminating in the Freeform app. Here you will find a huge whiteboard on which you can put whatever you want. Also new isAdvanced data protectionfor iCloud, though this is not yet available in the Netherlands and Belgium. This saves almost everything on your Mac with end-to-end encryption, even your iCloud backups, notes, and photos. What does this mean? Increasingly, you have to use two-factor authentication, and so you have to log into one of your other devices to confirm that you want to log in somewhere else.

There are also improvements to the message search function, you can play a sound in the Find My app to tell you AirPods ProAnd the AirTags And other accessories faster and a number of problems have been resolved. Apple’s full release notes can be found below.

macOS Ventura 13.1 adds a new Freeform app that helps you brainstorm and bring your ideas to life. This release also includes other features and bug fixes for your Mac.

• Freeform is a new app for working creatively with friends or colleagues on your Mac IPAD and the Iphone.
• You can add files, photos, and sticky notes, among other things, to a flexible workspace.

This update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

• Improved message search allows images to be found based on image content, such as a dog, car, person, or text.
• With Notes participant indicators, you can see in real time how others are updating a shared note.
• You can now play a sound through the Find My app to help you locate your AirTags, AirPods Pro case (2nd generation), and Find My network accessories.
• Fixed an issue where some notes would not sync to iCloud after an update.
• Fixed an issue where you might lose keyboard and mouse input in some apps and games.

Download macOS 13.1
