These Samsung smartphones will not get the Android 14 update

Most smartphones have now received an update to Android 13, which is why we are already looking forward to the arrival of Android 14. Not all Samsung smartphones will receive this update. In this article we share the respective devices.

Smartphones receive software support for a limited period of time. The length of this period varies depending on the manufacturer and type of smartphone. For example, flagship smartphones usually receive updates longer than budget smartphones. We expect Samsung to start rolling out Android 14 in late 2023 or early 2024, but some smartphones are now so outdated that they likely won’t receive this update. It concerns the following devices, which GalaxyClub listed for us:

– Galaxy S20 series: S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, S20 FE (3 upgrades)
– Galaxy Z Fold 2, Z Flip (had 3 upgrades)
– Galaxy Note 20 series: Note 20, Note 20 Ultra (there have been 3 upgrades)
