Playing football is still a long way off, but making time for charity is a long way off. Thibaut Courtois (31 years old) appeared between rehabilitation sessions at an “Elle” magazine party in Spain. His wife, Michelle Gerzig, 26, was also present.

The party was called “Elle Cancer Ball” and was held at the Royal Theater in Madrid. Proceeds from the ball went to the Spanish version of the song “Come on Against Cancer.” It was no coincidence that Courtois wore a pink pin on his suit.

And of course, Michelle Jerzig’s wife can’t be missed. The Israeli, who mainly speaks on social media about the conflict between Israel and Palestine, appeared in a red dress designed by designer Jorge Redondo. Notable guests included tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza and her fiancé, Arthur Borges.

The “Elle Cancer Ball” is held annually. The most distinguished guests also appear on the red carpet in their outfits in the magazine of the same name. Courtois himself suffered a rupture of the cruciate ligaments in his left knee two months ago. He will not return to the field with Real Madrid until spring 2024 at the earliest.

The question is whether the goalkeeper will return to the Red Devils to participate in the European Championship, which will be held in Germany next summer. In June, there was the captaincy issue which calmed the mood considerably and Courtois’ subsequent absence.

Meanwhile, Courtois is working hard on his rehabilitation by performing in public here and there. For example, he was spotted at the WiZink Arena to attend a match between Real Madrid and the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Last month he also visited Remco Evenepoel in the Vuelta.
