Ryan Boneda made the move from Anderlecht’s youth academy to Ajax a year ago. Avrim Salevsky, a young scout at Ajax, sees talent developing well at Sportpark de Toekomst.
There is no doubt high expectations about Boneda’s future, but it will take some time before news arrives that he is training with the first team or training with Jong Ajax. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder is currently still playing with his team mates and enjoying himself at the club from Amsterdam.
bee Newspaper He asks the scout not to compare himself to players like Julien Duranville or Jeremy Duques. “Every player is different and has his own look and his own way. Boneda has the DNA of Ajax. From the first moment Ryan arrived here, he had a warm feeling and he has to maintain that.”
Late maturity
The Amsterdam squad’s plan has always been to let talent start with its peers. “Ryan is a late boy. If he then went out against players who were much stronger and stronger and played the game, it wasn’t a fair fight. He’s developing better in U17. It’s especially important that he enjoys playing football.”
The talent is currently experiencing a growth spurt. A year ago, he was 1.62 meters tall and weighed 48 kilograms. Meanwhile, the Ajax player has grown a head and gained weight. “If the growth process accelerates, the gait pattern and body symmetry change. All this is monitored at Ajax. We do not impose anything,” says the scouts of the first Amsterdam club.
