The “Destination X” blind bus drove a lot in the second episode. From Paris I went to Spielberg, Austria. Nearby is the Red Bull Motorsports circuit, with the famous bull image. Merelbeke’s 37-year-old Glenn was the furthest guess and now has to leave the game. Above all, you have to rely on yourself.
However, things were looking good for Glenn halfway through the episode. The young dad wins a game of goose-board with Gino and Stevie, resulting in a fun deluxe package in a chic loft. But most importantly, one was shown the route the bus had traveled from the beginning of the journey to the next destination. Crucial information that makes putting a cross on the map a piece of cake. Steffie and Gino gave Glenn their confidence. He was able to share important information, until other candidates from elsewhere intervened. As a result, the most important information – the final destination – did not appear on the screen on which the route was previously shared.

“I couldn’t gather enough information in the luxury cabin,” Glenn said in the episode. “I’m nervous, I really don’t know. I’m terrified to go out today. I could have known up to a meter. Now I don’t know anything.” His fear turns out to be justified. Remarkably, the other two who had the so-called advantage also finished lower. Gino was fifth, while Stevie was seventh. “I learned very little in the luxury cabin,” says Glenn. “I saw that we were somewhere in Germany and that we were heading east. It could be Switzerland or Austria. I suspected a lot between those two and guessed wrong.”

“When you’re on that bus, you’re in a bubble. You’re constantly thinking about where you might be, what you’ve seen, what you can believe. You actually have to be constantly alert and on edge.” Something Glenn did too. He regularly tickled his booklet, in which he kept the information. This is what scared the other candidates.

It is important to trust yourself, because no one can assume that other players are telling the truth. “If you’re thinking of something or have an idea, it makes sense that you’d want feedback from your travel buddies. You also just depended on each other on that bus. I found it hard to just rely on myself, and I had my doubts.” Glenn is also a team player. “Sometimes you have to try to achieve things as a team, but on the other hand, you play the game individually.” He would have preferred to stay in a little longer, but there was one advantage to his early exit: “I just got to celebrate my son’s birthday at home.”
