“Cosmos: A Spacetime Journey” is a documentary film about science and space.
The Universe: A Journey Through Spacetime Developed to bring the basics of science back to network television in the heyday of other science-based TV series and movies, the series is hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who was inspired by Sagan as a young high school student.

Executive producers include Seth MacFarlane, whose financial investment was crucial in bringing the series to television networks, and Ann Druyan, co-writer and co-creator of the original television series and Sagan’s wife. The series is produced by Brannon Braga and Alan Silvestri composed the music.
The Universe: A Journey Through Spacetime It loosely follows the same format – consisting of thirteen episodes – and narrative approach as the original. Universe used, but includes updated information since the 1980 series, along with extensive computer-generated graphics and animated footage that enhance the narrative.

Many famous actors have voiced a character in the series. This includes Kirsten Dunst, Marlee Matlin, Alfred Molina, Amanda Seyfried, and Patrick Stewart. The Universe: A Journey Through Spacetime It was critically acclaimed and won numerous television awards, including a Peabody Award for Educational Content. It also received a rating of 9.2 out of 10 on IMDb.
In 2020 there was a sequel to the series titled The Universe: Possible WorldsIt has become so. The Universe: A Journey Through Spacetime It was presented by Tyson and executive produced by Druyan, MacFarlane, Braga and Jason Clarke.
