Just like his fellow Cycling Club members Wattage, Tom Boonen has put together a team in Sporza Cycling Manager. “I expect a lot from Soudal-Quick Step this spring,” says Boonen, who added four blue jerseys to his squad.
“It makes me really nervous.”
Tom Boonen's competitive spirit never goes away. Not even in the Sporza bike manager.
With his WTC team slow but steady, he is content only with a final win in the Cycling Club Wattage mini-competition.
“I think I have a very good team,” he says confidently.
Eye-catching: Boonen has 4 riders from The Wolfpack in his team: Alaphilippe, Asgreen, Lampaert and Lamberti.
“Last year, a lot of things went wrong at Soudal-Quick Step while preparing for spring. I don't think that will be the case every winter.”
Boonen believes in the resurrection: “I expect a lot from the entire Soudal-Quick Step team in the Classics.”
Like many cycling managers, Boonen also has a place for Arnaud de Lee in his team.
“I expect a lot from him. Arnaud will have good results this spring, although I don't know if it will happen immediately at Omloop.”
The white blackbird in Boonen's team is David Bomboy (TDT-Unibet). This is no coincidence.
“David is my cousin,” Bonin laughs. “I think this game is a great opportunity to actually have him on my team.”
