In the audio clip, which was obtained by “TMZ,” Renner can be heard groaning in pain in the background. Meanwhile, his neighbor, who preferred not to be named, explained his injury to the emergency services. And in between, the man repeatedly tells Jeremy to lie motionless. At one point the operator asks, “I need an emergency address.” Frustrated, the neighbor replied, “I told you so.” “I know, I just need to check, what phone number are you calling from?” “Come on, someone got run over by a snowdrift. Hurry up!” While the ambulance was on its way, the operator kept the neighbor on the line, “How’s he doing?” “Shallow breath, intense pain. He knows we wrapped him in blankets. His head is covered, but we’re missing him.”

Renner was later taken to hospital by helicopter. “It was a lot worse than we knew,” a source told RadarOnline. “Jeremy is fully aware that he almost died there. The right side of Jeremy’s chest was shattered and his upper body collapsed. He also had a severe cut on his head that was bleeding and an injury to his leg.” Meanwhile, Jeremy’s performance is improving, but he still has a long way to go from rehab. It could take up to two years for him to fully recover from his injuries.
