Limburg service voucher and recruitment company Trixxo are on the front lines in the fight against breast cancer. 550 employees and 10,000 home helpers unite for the Trixxo Pink Walk Challenge. The goal: Together we cover more than 40,000 supported kilometers, a complete circuit around the world.
This week, Trixxo is launching the Pink Walk Challenge, an initiative through which it is mobilizing its team of 10,000 colleagues, home assistants and in-house staff, to metaphorically walk around the world together. With Blue Monday as the symbolic starting point, which was renamed Pink Monday by Pink Ribbon.
Trixxo, together with all employees, wants to cover the total distance of 40,075 kilometers, which is a strong statement in the fight against breast cancer. Breast cancer affects 1 in 9 women worldwide, and Trixo, with a workforce made up primarily of women, sees it as its mission to draw attention to this devastating disease. “We have a close relationship with our home assistants. Many of them have already been directly or indirectly exposed to breast cancer, which underscores our commitment to prevention,” says Luc Jurisson, CEO of Trixxo.
For every kilometer a Trixxo employee travels, the company donates €0.20 to Pink Ribbon, the organization committed to researching and supporting people affected by breast cancer. If Trixxo reaches its ambitious goal, it will double the amount donated.
Hoeselt believes that collective efforts can really make a difference. “We attach exceptional importance to the health and well-being of our employees,” added Jorissen. “With this Pink Walk Challenge, we are demonstrating just one of the many ways we are actively engaging in this awareness.”
