Amid the war in Ukraine, Donald Trump asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to reveal suspicious information about US President Joe Biden’s son.
Hunter Biden, the 52-year-old son of President Joe Biden, is one of Donald Trump’s favorite targets. During his 2020 re-election campaign, Trump made repeated accusations against the attorney. Trump says Hunter Biden has “economic interests” in Ukraine and China, which he allegedly built when his father was vice president under Barack Obama.
In an interview broadcast Tuesday on the TV show “Just the News” by Real America’s Voice media company, the Republican claimed that “Hunter Biden and his family” received $3.5 million several years ago from Russian citizen Yelena Baturina. At the time he was married to the mayor of Moscow. “That’s a lot of money,” Trump said from Mar-a-Lago, Florida. “And we still don’t know why Hunter Biden got this money. I think Putin already knows and I think he should announce it. I think we should know too.”
A court in Delaware is investigating Hunter Biden. The investigation revolves around potential tax violations, illegal foreign pressure and money laundering. Hunter Biden acknowledged the existence of this investigation, but always denied any wrongdoing.
