Last weekend, the conservative American politician ran for Alaska’s seat in the House of Representatives in the US Congress. Former President Donald Trump fully supports her campaign.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced on Twitter late last week that she is seeking a seat in the US House of Representatives following the death of Republican Representative Don Young. He passed away last month, after representing Alaska for nearly half a century. Palin may use Trump’s support in a race of more than 50 candidates.
Trump, who was backed by the former governor early in the 2016 presidential election, says Palin is the right candidate to succeed Young. “I am proud to give my full support to Sarah Palin, and I encourage all Republicans to unite behind this wonderful person and her campaign to put America first!” This was reported in the Save America newsletter, from Donald Trump.
The former president also refers to her running mate for vice president in 2008, when she became vice president for Republican Senator John McCain. Then she had to die against Democratic Vice President Joe Biden. “Sarah has revived McCain’s presidential campaign,” Trump’s newsletter said. “Despite the fact that she had to put up with some bad, stupid and jealous people within the campaign itself. They were out to destroy it, but she wouldn’t let that happen.
The US primary elections are scheduled to take place on June 11. The top four candidates will run to this year’s general election on August 16.
