Tyson Fury successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship on Saturday night. At Wembley Stadium in London, the 33-year-old Englishman knocked out rival Dillian White in the sixth round with a powerful right-handed header. 94,000 spectators watched it happen.
“The Gypsy King” is undefeated in 33 professional fights, winning 32 times, including 23 by KO, once he was hesitant. It may still be that way, with Fury declaring it would be his last camp, though few believe it.
“I am a man of my word. This was for the ‘Gypsy King’ and what a great way to finish,” Fury confirmed after the fight. Fury was also complimenting his opponent. “He is a warrior and will one day be the world champion. His bad luck was that he had to face the best man in the world today,” and then the madman Manconian came up, as usual, with his version of American pie.
The 34-year-old White, a Briton of Jamaican descent, suffered a third defeat in his 31st match, and the third also by KO.
