Kremlin spokesman Peskov said Sunday morning that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejects Russia’s proposal to negotiate in Minsk. Zelensky said in a televised speech that he was open to talks in other sites that “do not symbolize aggression against our country.” On Sunday morning, the Ukrainian army shot down a missile fired from Belarusian territory. The head of the Ukrainian army described it as a “new war crime”. “If not, the talks in Minsk would have been possible,” Zelensky said.
Ukrainian President Zelensky said Russia was also bombing residential areas in his country on Sunday. “Last night was brutal, with shooting again, and new bombing of residential areas and civilian infrastructure. Today there is not a single target in our country that the occupiers do not target.”

“Vasylkiev, Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and many other cities of Ukraine live in conditions that we last experienced during the Second World War,” concludes Zelensky combatively. “But we will continue to fight for as long as it takes to liberate our country.”
