Sint-Antonius Zoersel’s Valerie Letines can be kicking herself in the head after she lost two rings on Saturday in the parking lot of the Okay store on Zoerselse Zandstraat. A search has already been done with man and force, but unfortunately without result. “Both rings have a special sentimental value for me. Anyone who can return them to me can count on a handsome reward,” Valerie says.
Valerie Letins, 37, could not sleep for two days. Last Saturday I lost 2 special gems in Zoersel’s Okay branch. It is about an engagement ring and a ring that Valerie received from her future husband, Wim, after the birth of their almost two-year-old daughter Celine.

“I’m mad at myself,” sighs Valerie, who can still completely reconstruct the way the rings were lost. “On Saturday afternoon we went to visit friends in Leuven. On the way there we stopped at an okay to get a gift basket. While Wim entered the store, I waited in the car with Celine. I took the opportunity to apply hand cream and took off my rings to do so. When Wim got back in the car, he asked me to help open the trunk. When I stood up, the rings I had placed on my lap must have fallen to the ground unnoticed.”

It was only when Valerie was with her friends in Leuven that she noticed that she was no longer wearing her rings. “I was completely horrified, because the rings have a special sentimental value to me,” Valerie looks back. “I immediately called Okay Zoersel, but the store staff couldn’t find anything in the parking lot. About 7 pm, three hours after we left, we found ourselves in Okay. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed. Of course we also searched our car.” Exactly, but nothing came of it.
metal detector
Meanwhile, Valerie has already called the police and someone has a metal detector. “There are camera images from the parking lot, but according to the police, it wasn’t clear enough to know more,” Valerie continues. “A search with a metal detector also failed to yield the desired result. That’s why I now want to launch a call through this route. I also plan to put up labels. I hope now that an honest finder can return the rings to me. Tips that can lead to the rings are of course welcome.” Anyone who can help me can count on a handsome reward.”
