Premier League
Liverpool continues to follow in the footsteps of leaders Manchester City in the Premier League thanks to its 3-1 victory over Newcastle. There is still a small relief, after the less pleasant corona news earlier in the day.
The Corona virus was not spared from Liverpool either. On Thursday, Van Dijk, Fabinho and Jones tested positive. Divock Origi was also absent from the home team, so coach Jürgen Klopp had to move around a bit here and there.
A surprise Shelvey gave the visitors the lead, but Liverpool arranged things before the break. Jota scored the equalizer and Salah was there like chicken to make it 2-1.
He had to wait until the final stage to highlight the match. A few minutes before the end, Alexander-Arnold fantastically put the ball into the box.
