celebritiesVin Diesel, 55, shared a tribute to Paul Walker on what would have been the actor’s 50th birthday. Walker died in November 2013 at the age of 40 after a car accident.
Diesel and Walker both starred in the Fast & Furious film series. In his post, Diesel shares a photo with Walker backstage. “A decade, ten long years, and yet it feels like yesterday we were singing to you in the big 40,” the actor begins his message, “The world is not the same, brother. As humanity, you can say we’re having a hard time. But then I think of you and smile, and I know everything will be okay.”
The photo in question dates back to January 2010, before Diesel Walker went to Haiti to help people affected by the major earthquake. When sorting through the photo, Diesel wrote that his son came forward and described the shot as “timeless” and that Walker was the reason he wanted to build cars. “For me, this photo represents the moment I knew we would be brothers forever.”

According to Diesel, Walker was above all someone who found happiness in helping those in need. “First responder, you’ve been through it and you shared that with me. If you look up first responder in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of yourself.
The “Fast & Furious” actor decides to continue to honor the “beautiful soul” of his late friend. “I imagined we would sing to you and cut the cake on your 50th birthday, but maybe that wasn’t the case. Maybe you were in Maui or Morocco or somewhere else in the world where people needed help. I miss you…”
