Can Burnley finally win again after the international break? Vincent Kompany’s side are desperate for points, barely getting 4 points after 12 matches. The Belgian coach said optimistically, “I am convinced that we are capable of achieving a series.”
It is not surprising that Burnley closes the Premier League list with 4 points. Last week, Everton joined the club, who were forced to give up 10 points due to a penalty kick.
“I’m not worried about that,” Vincent Kompany says of Everton. “I don’t want to worry about things I have no control over. We are focused on our results. There is no point in looking at other teams.”
“I have a mission here that is too important to be distracted. We want to turn the results around. We are in survival mode and then we go back to basics. My absolute priority is to keep Burnley in this competition.”
We should have no doubt that we can deliver a series.
No team in the Premier League has earned Burnley fewer than 4 points after 12 matches. However, Kompany still has faith in his team. “I will continue to believe until the last minute,” he said aggressively.
“We must not have any doubts about our ability to achieve a series. It is about the details, sometimes at the individual level, but I see the solutions and that is my job as a manager.”
“The competition was really tough. It’s still a matter of adapting. There is no easy game and the task is always the same: trying to get the three points.”
Burnley will get a new opportunity to do so on Saturday, with a home match against West Ham.
