The pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia published footage on Wednesday of a raid by the Russian security services (FSB) on Prigozhin’s properties, including Wagner’s offices and mansion in Saint Petersburg. During these searches, a number of strange objects were found, including wigs, guns, and gold bars. In addition, a series of forged passports and a framed photograph of the severed heads of Prigozhin’s enemies were found.

A batch of passports was indeed discovered during a search of his office last weekend. One of them had his name and birth data on it, but someone else’s photo. While there were at least three similar to him, but with a different name.

Most notable during the raid, however, was a large sledgehammer with the words “For Use in Important Negotiations” on it, which was displayed in the billiard room. Finally, large sums of cash were found, as well as a military uniform full of medals. According to Russian media, things, cash and large weapons were seized by the FSB.

Prigozhin is still in Russia

The raid is part of the Russian authorities’ mission to quickly disband Wagner’s mercenary army and Prigozhin’s companies and garrisons. Since the failed uprising, there has been no trace of Wagner’s infamous chief, but he seems to still be in Russia. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at a press conference on Thursday.
