In the NBA, Cleveland won the game against Dallas last night thanks to a 3-pointer from Max Strus' half court, making it the second-most game-winner in NBA history. Our compatriot Toumani Kamara was also back in action last night, but – despite a strong game – had to accept another defeat.
The sting was in the Dallas Mavericks' tail in Cleveland. Luka Doncic and his teammates thought they already had a win after P.J. Washington scored with 2.9 seconds left.
Dallas led 118-119, but the home team still won. The remaining 2.9 seconds turned out to be enough for Max Strus to nail down another 3-pointer.
From his own half, Strus lit up the crowd with a stunning score from 18 yards. This represents the second-longest winning streak in NBA history. Only Devonte' Graham has done that in Detroit in 2021.
The powerful Toumani Kamara
Toumani Kamara's Portland Trail Blazers team also saw action last night. Our citizen team lost at home to Miami: 96-106.
Despite the defeat, Kamara can look forward to a strong match, as the Belgian recovered well after missing the match a few days ago.
In 32 minutes, he scored 17 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and two assists. Kamara shot 100% of his three-pointers (2 of 2) and was also sharp from the free throw line (3 of 3).
Following Deandre Ayton's retirement, our compatriot also took over defense for Miami's stalwart midfielder Bam Adebayo and did an excellent job. The Heat's All-Star was limited to 13 points.
Also worth noting: While Portland lost by 10 points, Kamara scored a total of +13. This means that in the 32 minutes the Belgian spent on the court, Portland scored 13 more points than Miami. Talk about a positive impact!
