French tennis player Arthur Cazeau caused a bad moment during the Miami Open qualifiers. Kazoo fainted in his third set against compatriot Harold Mayotte, possibly due to the heat.
Arthur Kazoo and Harold Mayotte had been on court in Miami for more than two hours when Kazoo suddenly fell in the third set. The heat may have gotten the better of the young Frenchman in Miami. However, it took some time before medical help arrived on track.
The temperature was around 30 degrees Celsius in Miami on Monday, with humidity exceeding 70 percent. The combination of heat and high humidity took its toll on Kazuo, who logically succumbed after recovering.
His compatriot Alizé Cornet, who was eliminated in the qualifiers in Miami on Sunday, questioned the conditions on social media. “The heat and humidity in Miami is really crazy. When are we going to stop risking the health of the players?” Cornet wonders out loud?
Harold Mayotte, who was allowed to advance one round due to Cazoo's retirement, will be our compatriot David Goffin's next opponent in the main draw qualifier for the Miami Open.
