Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin Desoninck) took his 12th win of the season. At the Flanders Championship in Koleskamp he was the first to throw his wheel over the goal line, ahead of the Dutchman Jacobsen and Groenwegen.
The Championship of Flanders guarantees a royal race in Kohlskamp.
Gijs Van Hoecke, Thibau Verhofstadt, Frenchman Samuel Leroux and Swiss Fabio Christen were given the honor of riding long before the peloton.
Soudal-Quick Step, Jayco-Alula and Alpecin-Deceuninck kept the fugitives close at hand and captured them in time.
The three tenors were able to run for the win. Side by side, Jasper Philipsen, Dylan Groenewegen and defending champion Fabio Jacobsen stormed the finish line.
Philipsen won by half a wheel, just as in 2021 with Groenewegen. Jacobsen came in third.

Philipsen: “I hope to add more victories”
Jasper Philipsen started the final part of his season with another victory. The sprinter has already won for the 12th time this year.
“It was a beautiful, calm day with nice temperatures,” the speedster replied.
“It was too close,” he realized. “I felt like Dylan was getting stronger. I’m so happy that I got to the top.”
If it were up to Philipsen, it would not stop at 12. “I am having my best season and I hope to add more wins to it,” concludes the winner of 4 stages of the Tour.
