KV Oostende was unable to continue its victory against the promises of Standard. It looked like a three-pointer against Jong Genk for a long time, but the equalizer came ten minutes from time. 15-year-old Konstantinos Karitsas scored a brilliant goal for the visitors.
Objectives
19 Henderson: 1-0
28′ Karitsas: 1-1
50′ Benders (og): 2-1
79′ Bangura: 2-2
After an exciting start to the season with 1 in 12, the Ostend train seemed to have left. With victories over Gunshorn (in the Cup) and Standard’s promises, the crisis was averted.
KVO also got off to a good start against Jong Genk. Henderson opened the scoring for the home team. On the half hour, 15-year-old Konstantinos Karitsas took the lead with a brilliant dribble and an equally beautiful finish.
The Kustboys did not give up and took the lead again thanks to an own goal. They just couldn’t stick to it. Bangura scored the equalizer ten minutes from time.
Not a win, but a point. So KVO continues to hang at the bottom of the rankings.
