The Golden State Warriors had no clean sweep in the Western Conference Finals. In the fourth game, the Dallas Mavericks led by Luka Doncic strengthened their backs. Dallas got 119-109 to make the score 3-1.
The Mavericks trailed 3-0 before the game and had to turn things around a bit to earn something of the conference finals. And with a lot of effort in defense and a lot of triple hits, they succeeded.
The Mavericks mainly dominated the second and third quarters and eventually won by ten points. Even an interruption of rain could not knock the team off its lead. The match was stopped for 20 minutes due to a leak in the hall ceiling.
Luka Doncic was the star. He ended up missing one pass for his triple-double (30 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists).
The score is now 3-1, so the road to a potential final match for Dallas will still be a very long way to go. “I still think we can win,” Doncic said. “We still believe in it.”
The fifth match is scheduled for Friday evening.
