After the seating areas and the athletics track, the King Baudouin Stadium has also renovated the changing rooms. The Red Devils get a shower of golden heads.
King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels is undergoing a facelift. Last year, the city of Brussels, which owns the complex, refurbished the 50,000-seat and modernized athletics track.
This year the changing rooms, bathrooms and press facilities were renovated, with a TV studio as an addition.
The dressing room used by the Red Devils and the one reserved for visitors have been completely renovated: with a dedicated area for the technical staff, new individual lockers for the players, new bathrooms and new sanitary facilities.
The referee dressing rooms and anti-doping testing areas have also been renovated, in accordance with UEFA regulations.
Antwerp and Union players will get the scoop on May 9 during the cup final. The Red Devils will use the new facilities on June 5 and 8 for international friendly matches against Montenegro and Luxembourg. Then they play in the European Championship in Germany.
Tours
You can also visit the Red Devils' changing and shower rooms. From September 21, the city of Brussels will organize guided tours of the King Baudouin Stadium, with an exhibition on the career of the late Raymond Goethals.
