Watch the Galaxy A53 launch live
Today, Samsung is updating perhaps the most important Galaxy phone in the South Korean stable. Because while the Galaxy S22 series naturally gets a lot of attention, the mid-range phones in the A series are a lot more than over-the-counter. Therefore, the “top model” of this series is by definition one of the most important phones of the year. Today he makes his first appearance.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A53 and its younger brother – Galaxy A33 The official opening is today, March 17, from 3:00 pm. You can follow this event live in two ways:
What can you expect?
As far as we know, there are two phones on the agenda today: the Galaxy A53 and the Galaxy A33. The first is a 6.5-inch smartphone with a Full HD AMOLED display and Samsung’s new mid-range processor. We previously found out that the A53’s battery is larger than that of the Galaxy A52(s), but the innovations aren’t great either in many other areas.
The Galaxy A33 is very similar to the A53, but it probably has less powerful cameras. But both devices are water resistant, while the A53 is at least benefiting from Samsung’s new update policy. That means: Five years of updates, four years of Android upgrades – just like Galaxy S22†
This means that both models will likely score well in the price-quality ratio component. That is, if the rumors about the prices – the A53 around 450 euros, the A33 around 350 euros – are true. Of course you can read more about both devices later when we review them extensively.
And what about the Galaxy A73?
By the way, it now seems more than obvious that a file Galaxy A73 Not showing up today. There are no signs yet that Samsung is preparing for a (European) version of this device. Want a Galaxy A phone with a 108MP camera? Then you’ll have to wait for the A73 to appear later this spring. However, this does not happen today.
