The Wonder Woman game, currently in development at Monolith Productions, will likely have some live-service elements. This is evident from the presence of a new vacancy in the game.
the Job offer Spotted by Wccftech and looking for a Lead Software Engineer to play for Monolith Productions. The desired candidate will be given a position on Wonder Woman’s team and will have an amazing “extra aptitude.” For example, it is a plus if the candidate has “experience maintaining a live-service game or product.”
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Wonder Woman will be a live service game, although we’re betting the game will have a live service component. David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. After all, Discovery has already made it clear that the company is working on transitioning its biggest gaming franchises into live-service titles.
During a recent shareholder meeting, Zaslav announced plans to “convert Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, DC (only Batman for now) and Mortal Kombat into service games.” The goal is to “expand gaming through live service, cross-platform, and free-to-play extensions, so that more players spend more time in those games.”
Wonder Woman was announced at The Game Awards in December 2021, although we haven’t seen anything from the title since then. With Monolith Productions (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor) at the helm, we expect to see the studio’s popular Nemesis system once again.
