The service, which allows you to play Xbox Series games on an Xbox One console, is slowly rolling out among an ever-growing group of randomly selected Insiders. Jake Rosenberg, Senior Program Manager at Xbox, reported this in a report platform site. It is not yet known when the service will be available to everyone.
The long-awaited feature for consoles completely eliminates the requirements for installation time and disk space for games; Games with the cloud icon can be played instantly, even online. According to Xbox, the service is very easy to use. By going to Xbox Game Pass via My Games & Apps and the entire library on your console and then selecting Cloud Games with the filter, all supported titles will be displayed. When you press play, the game will start immediately.
Xbox also reports that there are still some issues with the service, which will be resolved as soon as possible. For example, core games that are part of a bundle, such as Forza Horizon 4 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, may not start. Also, in-game purchases may not be supported yet and games may appear twice in the Most Used section.
Additionally, pre-installed games on an external hard drive that is no longer connected to your console will no longer run. Finally, it is possible that some cloud games will only be shown in English.
Xbox Cloud Gaming was already available on PC and mobile devices, but console support is still lacking.
